NIACINAMIDE

Also known as vitamin B3, niacinamide is a powerful yet gentle ingredient that has a multitude of benefits and can help most, if not all, skin concerns. Niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that increases cell metabolism and the production of collagen, keratin, and ceramides. These three essential components help maintain the firmness and smoothness of the skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles; it also helps protect and maintain a healthy skin barrier to maintain hydration within the skin and prevent transepidermal water loss.

NIACINAMIDE IN SKINCARE

Niacinamide is an antioxidant that aids our skin’s defense system against the outside world. Niacinamide has been shown to enhance and boost the repair of DNA damage in skin cells that happens naturally throughout our life due to oxidative stress from everyday environmental stressors. Niacinamide also has skin-lightening properties; by initiating the repair of damaged skin cells, it helps fade uneven skin tone and texture resulting from oxidative stress.

Niacinamide is also a powerful anti-acne ingredient that helps fight active breakouts, prevent them in the future and soothe inflammation. Niacinamide helps regulate sebum production; sebum production leads to excess oil buildup within the pores, which contributes to breakouts and inflammation. It is also an antimicrobial that fights the bacteria that leads to acne while also working to soothe active breakouts by reducing the redness, dryness, and sensitivity, thereby allowing them to heal.

IRIS SKIN REFINER

Our Iris Skin Refiner is a synergistic blend of iris fruit extract, vitamin A, and zinc that improves skin texture by fighting the root causes of excess oil and strengthening the skin barrier.

Together, these ingredients regulate oil production while keeping the skin sufficiently hydrated and fighting the bacteria that cause acne in the first place. As a result, the Iris Skin Refiner purifies the skin, reduces shine, and tightens the appearance of enlarged pores for overall more matte and smooth skin.

IRIS IN SKINCARE

The Iris Skin Refiner is a multifunctional ingredient that helps improve uneven skin texture resulting from various skin concerns, including breakouts, clogged pores, blackheads, whiteheads, and other skin irritation. In clinical studies, users reported up to a 22% reduction in blackheads and whiteheads and a 26% reduction in red spots, pimples, and inflammation after using, with an appearance of minimized pores and an overall reduction in skin imperfections.

WU-ZHU-YU ILLUMINATOR

Evodia Rutaecarpa, also known as Wu-Zhu-Yu, is a fruit native to Korea and China and has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine. In skin care, Evodia fruit extract enhances nutrients, oxygen, and blood circulation within the skin to boost skin cell renewal and bring a more uniform complexion to skin tone and texture.

WU-ZHU-YU IN SKINCARE

This extract helps to visibly brighten the skin and repair damage caused by environmental stress, aging, and other factors that lead to dullness. In studies, users reported a more refined skin texture, increased luminosity, and overall healthier-looking complexion after daily use.

04.

GLOBAL COMPLEXION CONTROL

A blend of liquorice, marshmallow, and rice bran extracts, the Global Complexion Control combines three powerful plant extracts with a rich concentration of skin-brightening compounds. These extracts have the ability to prevent hyperpigmentation by inhibiting the production of tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for the production of melanin that contributes to uneven skin and dark spots, thereby stopping their formation in the first place.

GLOBAL COMPLEXION CONTROL IN SKINCARE

In studies, topical application of Global Complexion Control to the skin showed significant improvement in fading dark spots and uneven skin tone. After one month of daily application, users reported up to 52% improvement in fading of dark spots and a brighter, more even-toned complexion overall.

WHITE TRUFFLE EXTRACT

The rarest variety of truffles, White Truffle Extract, grows in special conditions in northern Italy, where it must live in symbiosis with certain trees and shrubs to grow. It is rich in vitamin C, B12, B6, B3, and essential fatty acids that moisturize and strengthen the skin barrier while offering powerful anti-aging benefits.

WHITE TRUFFLE IN NATURE

White Truffle Extract is deeply moisturizing and can significantly reduce signs of aging by improving skin elasticity, tightening wrinkles, and reducing under-eye bags and puffiness. It is also an excellent anti-aging ingredient that is gentle enough to be used around the eye area. It improves skin smoothness and elasticity, helping to reduce the appearance of under-eye circles, crow’s feet, and fine lines. As an added benefit, it has been shown to have a depuffing effect, reducing puffiness and under-eye bags.

In studies, White Truffle Extract has been shown to have extraordinary effects in improving skin elasticity and giving the skin a natural filler effect. After 30 days of topical application, white truffle extract increased the skin elasticity up to 35% improving its ability to promptly return to its natural smooth state after being stretched. It has also been shown to strengthen the skin barrier by increasing moisture within the skin by up to 45% after two weeks of use.

06.

CAVIAR EXTRACT

In addition to being a culinary delicacy, caviar extract is also a multifunctional skincare ingredient with anti-aging, moisturizing, and protective benefits. It has a high concentration of amino acids, essential fatty acids, vitamins A and D, and other minerals, which promote healthy cell metabolism by fortifying the skin from within to preserve cell integrity. It also moisturizes and helps reduce trans-epidermal water loss for a healthy skin barrier.

CAVIAR EXTRACT IN SKINCARE

The compounds in caviar extract help protect against UV exposure and other environmental stressors that cause free radical damage. This, in turn, prevents the breakdown of collagen and elastin, the building blocks of firm, tight, and youthful-looking skin. It is also high in omega-3 and omega-6—two fatty acids essential for cell metabolism and skin hydration. They also play a role in fortifying the skin barrier to reduce trans-epidermal water loss.

07.

CRUSHED PEARLS

Hydrolyzed Pearls are the micronized powder of natural freshwater pearls. They have been used for thousands of years in Chinese medicine and beauty for their anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, restorative and detoxifying benefits.

Hydrolyzed Pearls are a multifunctional ingredient in skin care thanks to their high concentration of proteins and polysaccharides that help the skin on the cellular level by stimulating and repairing the cutaneous fibroblasts within the dermis and boosting UVA and UVB protection.

THE NATURE OF PEARLS

Freshwater pearls are biominerals, the natural composite materials produced by living organisms through a process known as biomineralization.

Biominerals are made up of minerals and nutrients such as amino acids and polysaccharides that help harden and support existing tissues of bones, shells, and even teeth. These properties are especially beneficial in skincare, where they strengthen the intercellular matrix within the skin to preserve elasticity.

PEARLS IN SKIN CARE

Hydrolyzed Pearls are a very fine, gentle, and water-soluble powder that can be added to topical skincare products alongside other ingredients where its benefits can be delivered to the skin. Topically, it is highly moisturizing and helps nourish skin to increase its smoothness and firmness while also helping to protect against UV exposure and mitigate the free radical damage that leads to uneven skin tone and texture.

ENCAPSULATED SWISS GLACIER WATER

Also known as Lipobelle Glacier Water, this unique ingredient is formulated from pure Swiss glacier water that has been encapsulated into liposomes. Liposomes are small spheres that can be delivered more effectively past the trans-epidermal barrier to deliver water deeper within the skin than traditional water molecules. Swiss glacier water has a unique composition compared to other water thanks to its source high in the Valais Alps. It travels through deep layers of rock, stone, and other sediments and becomes enriched with minerals and trace elements.

SWISS WATER IN SKINCARE

Turning Swiss glacier water into a liposomal form enhances its penetration into the skin and gives longer-lasting moisture and hydration than that of other water molecules. In addition to their smaller size, the phospholipids that form the liposomes are known as “physiological ingredients,” meaning they are significant components of skin cell membranes and help maintain healthy cell function and improve the smoothness and suppleness of the skin.

Due to its high purity, Lipobelle Glacier water is the ideal water to refresh skin. Its rich nutrient profile helps protect the outer layer of the skin for improved skin barrier function while increasing the hydration within the skin as well. In vitro studies have shown Lipobelle Glacier water to have antioxidant properties that protect skin cells against heat stress.

09.

HYALURONIC ACID

A humectant that attracts and binds water, hyaluronic acid is a naturally-occurring substance found within skin, joints, and tissue. Hyaluronic acid can bind up to 1000 times its weight in water and serves as a protective filter that hydrates and prevents water loss. It is also an anti-inflammatory that has a soothing effect on the skin, creating a suitable environment for healthy cellular function.

HYALURONIC ACID IN SKINCARE

Maintaining adequate moisture and hydration is the foundation of youthful-looking skin and prevents visible signs of aging. Hyaluronic acid is one of the most beneficial ingredients for preserving its loss and protecting the skin’s natural barrier. Hyaluronic acid binds water wherever it is present, resulting in visibly plumper, fuller skin that’s more elastic and youthful. It has various benefits, including boosting skin cell renewal, collagen and elastin production, preventing dryness and dehydration, increasing elasticity, and reducing scarring. It is well tolerated by all skin types.

10.

SQUALANE

Squalane is an oil that is lightweight, non-comedogenic, and easily absorbed by the skin. Squalane functions as an emollient that helps soften, smooth, and hydrate the skin. It is a polyunsaturated fat, naturally produced by our bodies and plants such as olives, sugarcane, and amaranth in the form of squalene. Before being used topically, squalene must be hydrogenated into Squalane to form a stable molecule that is more shelf-stable and beneficial to the skin.

SQUALANE IN SKINCARE

Squalane is a highly efficient emollient and an ideal oil in skincare products because it mimics the body’s natural oils. Unlike most oils notorious for being comedogenic and clogging pores which contribute to acne and dull skin, Squalane is lightweight enough to be suitable for oily, acne-prone skin, especially those skin types that also suffer from dehydration and tightness.
